Pileño Studios is focused on creating a platform that provides opportunities to highlight our communities' voices. We are centering the arts as a healing and empowering tool, and creating a hands on environment to allow for the transfer of knowledge not just from me but from everyone involved to create lasting change. The business will have a combination of dance classes, workshops, art classes, business consulting with logo design and all aspects of marketing and branding to help with the transitions to online platforms.
We believe your whole self matters, from mind, body and soul; your personality, your sense of humor, your heart, and your sense of belonging fuel your passions and the level of change that you can make for yourself and the whole community.

Growing up it was hard for me to acknowledge the fine arts as anything more than a hobby, it was also hard to find affordable places where I could be part of a dance team or get art classes. As I pursued higher education I learned how to use my creative side to work through institutional and personal trauma. Being creative helped me land jobs and opened new learning opportunities and I want to provide the same opportunities for my community. The project is designed to serve youth and community members in Barrio Logan, San Diego, but lends itself to be remote through our Youtube Channel and reach a wider audience. I am focused on creating partnerships with other organizations to encompass multiple topics, strengthen the work they already do and encourage engagement to reinforce our community bond through healing, mental health and celebration of the arts.
